Moroccan Mint Black Tea

Moroccan Mint Black Tea

What Does It Taste Like?

This is a fantastic tasting black tea. Not too strong, or bitter, this really is a mellow drink - and the best part - it's minty too! However, unlike other mint blends, this isn't overpowering and doesn't dominate the palate. It's an understated highlight and makes for a thick and full-bodied taste.

The search ends here: This is relaxation in a mug.

What Does It Smell Like?

This smells massively minty and massively sweet. This is definitely a drink for clearing the airways and settling the stomach - and the creamy undertones make the overall aroma an absolute delight.

It's a strong smell, but not an unwelcome one. You'll want to keep smelling it again and again.

Caffeine Level

A cup of this tea is a 8/10 for Caffeine (with 10 being a giant cup of coffee from your preferred coffee outlet). It's a great way to get a big hit of energy, though black tea can affect a good night's sleep if you drink it too close to bedtime.

What is Black Tea?

Black tea comes from the same plant as White tea, Green tea and Oolong. It just goes through a different process after the leaves are plucked. For black tea, the leaves are left to wilt in a dry environment, before being cut, torn and crushed to make the leaves very fine. Next, they are left to fully oxidise (or ferment), which gives them their distinctive brown colour. The strong flavour of black tea comes from changes to the chemical make-up of the leaves during this process. This is also the time when the leaves become caffeinated, meaning Black Tea has the strongest caffeine content of the pure teas.
